Welcome to RICS Fellowship

Luciano Capaldo

"RICS Fellowship is an honoured position - an acknowledgement of a property professional's dedication, experience and achievements. MRICS upgrading their status to FRICS will join a distinguished list of Fellows who stand out among their peers, and in the eyes of business and the public, as some of the world's leading professionals."

Dr. Ing. Luciano Capaldo FRICS
Chairman RICS Europe

RICS Fellowship applicants are expected to show the highest level of accomplishment during their career and to have made significant contributions to RICS or the profession in general. The attainment of Fellowship should be the goal to which all chartered surveyors aspire.

What are the steps to be taken?

  1. 1. To apply, please request your MyFellowship log-in from Marina de Nevares on

Once you receive your log-in you can start the process:
  2. 2. Detail your special achievements (one or several of: academic or special skills, contribution to RICS activities, contribution to promoting the profession).
  3. 3. Tell us about your post-MRICS qualification profession experience.
  4. 4. Detail your managerial responsibility.
  5. 5. List your CPD activities.
  6. 6. Confirm that you comply with the RICS Rules of Conduct.
  7. 7. Get two referees to support your application – this is also done online.
  8. 8. Pay the application fee of € 350.

With the launch of MyFellowship online completing the application process has become much easier than in the past!

Using your designation

You may use the designation FRICS once you have received a positive answer from the Fellowship Assessment Committee. RICS will then send you a new membership card and diploma. Similar to your MRICS designation, you may use your FRICS designation after your name (subject to Bye-Law 13 in the RICS Rules of Conduct) on letter headings and business stationery as long as you remain a chartered surveyor.
